2008-13 Superduty tailgate handle relocator

Using a tailgate handle relocator allows you to smooth the skin on the outside of your tailgate and moves the handle to the inside of your tailgate using the original handle (or in rare cases, a new supplied handle) This will mean that bodywork and painting will need to be done on your truck. Moving the handle inside the bed will mean you need to cut a large hole inside your tailgate to mount the tailgate handle relocator, which will be screwed or riveted in place. Some people even weld them in place but we don't recommend that as it will make repairing your tailgate handle very difficult if it ever needs to be fixed. Once you have moved the handle inside the tailgate you will need to use a piece of sheet metal to fill the hole on the out side of your tailgate for a smooth custom look. When you are done you can paint the outside of your tailgate and have a nice, custom look.
